The Aircraft Wiring Support Equipment Commodity group at Lakehurst NJ. This facility provides material and training to the Fleet for Aircraft Wire and Harness Repair. The MCH-100-A was built to the specifications required for a Portable, Battery powered Heat Gun. This is the tool currently in service with the military today. The Malcom Company is manufacturing the tool.

They have a wealth of experience in shop and field with rechargeable batteries, their operation, maintenance procedures and life expectancy. This is a very good source of information about the rechargeable battery program in the Armed services. The MCH-100-A uses the BB-390 battery as the power source for the Heat Gun and the Soldering Iron.
